DURHAM, N.C. – No. 14 Duke University swept North Carolina Central University 7-0 in the Eagles’ spring season opener on Sunday inside the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center on the campus of Duke University.

Trey Chatman won two games during their two-set setbacks at No. 1 and 3 singles, respectively.

Alejandro Espitia and freshman
Andres Perez earned two wins during their 8-2 loss.
Duke has now won all six meetings against the Eagles dating back to 1972.
The Eagles return to competition on Feb. 13 against Howard University at 10 a.m. on the campus of NCCU.
