Biography

As a Senior (2022-23)
Selected to the MEAC All-Conference Third Team and All-Defensive Team. Named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week (Feb. 21). Started in all 29 of his appearances, averaging 26.9 minutes per game. Averaged 7.5 points, 5.2 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game. Swiped 65 steals to lead the MEAC and dished out 151 assists, placing second in the conference. Led the MEAC in assist to turnover ratio at 1.9. Scored in double-digits during nine contests. Season-high of 18 points came in the first game of the season against No.18 Virginia (Nov. 7). Season-highs in rebounds (13) and assists (12) both occurred on two different occasions against Maryland Eastern Shore (Jan. 23 & Feb. 20 respectively).

As a Redshirt Junior (2021-22)
Second Team All-MEAC.  Made 29 appearances with 20 starts, and averaged 27.8 minutes per game.  Averaged 9.7 points and 3.7 assists per game.  Recorded 71 steals to tie for the second-most all-time in a single season at NCCU, and also dished out 106 assists.  Ranked second in the MEAC in assists per game, and in steals with 2.4 swipes per contest.  Won three consecutive MEAC weekly honors from Feb. 15 – March 1, with two Defensive Player of the Week nods followed by a Player of the Week award.  Averaged 23.5 points in two games with help from a career-high 29 points at Howard (Feb. 26) on the way to the MEAC Player of the Week win, and shot 54.8 percent from the floor with 5.5 rebounds in the two contests.  Scored 10+ points 12 times, including in his first career double-double as an Eagle with 12 points and 12 rebounds against SC State (March 3). 

Prior to NCCU:

Georgia Southern (2020-21): Played 24 games with 21 starts, and averaged 11 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.  Was one of the top defenders in the nation as he was second in the Sun Belt and 21st in NCAA Division I in steals with 2.2 per game.  Ranked 13th in the Sun Belt in assists with 3.1 per outing.  Shot 35 percent from the arc and contributed double-digits in points 14 times, along with two 20-plus point outbursts.  Put in a season-high 29 points and shot 15-for-16 from the charity stripe in a double overtime victory over FIU on Dec. 19.

John A. Logan College (2019-20): Averaged 15.5 points per game, and shot 52 percent from the field, 38 percent from downtown, and 76 percent from the free throw line.  Also recorded 4.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 2.2 steals per outing.  Won 28 games that season.

Tallahassee Community College (2018-19): Averaged 12 points, five rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game.

High School (Bryan Station H.S.): Was a finalist for Mr. Basketball in Kentucky in 2018.  Named Lexington 2018 Player of the Year, and was first-team all-city after averaging 19.9 points and 11.3 rebounds in his senior campaign.  Participated in the Kentucky-Indiana All-Star Game, and nearly picked up a triple-double with 11 points, nine rebounds, nine assists, and four steals.

Personal: Parents are Eric Boone, Sr. and Shondale Price.  Born in Lexington, Kentucky.  Enjoys fishing.  Majoring in business at NCCU.
