Paige Phillips enters her fifth season as an assistant coach for the NCCU volleyball team in 2022-23. Phillips served as a graduate assistant in 2018 and 2019 before moving into the full-time assistant role in 2020-21.
CAREER: Her 1896 career assists remains a DI era record at NCCU through the 2021-22 season (and fourth all-time at NCCU) ... Her average of 5.75 assists per set over four seasons also ranks seventh all-time at NCCU (through the 2021-22 season)

2014: Played in all 29 matches her rookie season including 21 starts and 93 of 96 sets … Posted a team-high 514 assists to rank 10th in the MEAC with 5.53 assists per set … Added 163 digs (1.75 digs/set), 11 block assists, nine kills and eight aces … Recorded a season-high 40 assists in a four-set match against Valparaiso (Aug. 30) … Tallied four assist-dig double-doubles … Season-high 13 digs against North Carolina A&T (Oct. 26)
High School: Graduated from Vestavia Hills High School in 2014 … As a junior, Phillips collected 1,184 assists, 208 digs and 46 service aces earning her the Birmingham News South Player of the Year title in 2012 while she also led her team to its first ever 6A state championship game ... Phillips was also named to the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) 2012 All-Tournament team, 2012 AHSAA North All-Star Team, Alabama Volleyball Coaches Association (AVBCA) 2012 6A First Team, was named Birmingham Metro Volleyball Player of the Week on Oct. 11, 2012, and won the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) National Championship as a member of “Team Sting” in 2011.
Personal: Daughter of Edward and Cherry Phillips … enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the movies, crafting and shopping … Most people do not know that Paige was born two months early, only weighing 4lbs.
