Joseph Crooks enters his fourth year as a volunteer coach for the North Carolina Central University volleyball team.

Crooks, a nine-time representative on the Jamaican National Team, comes from a history of championships. He has two high school national championship titles and 15 club volleyball national championship titles.

As a member of the Sunset All-Stars, Crooks was a two-time best passer recipient and a three-time best server recipient, while leading his team to 13 national titles. He also earned best blocker and best hitter honors.

While playing for the Jamaica Defense Force, Crooks was just as productive on the court. He also earned best blocker and best hitter honors, while leading his team to two national championship titles.

Crooks is a firm believer in training hard and working to become the best. He brings a champion mindset to the Eagle program.

He currently resides in High Point, N.C., with his wife Georgette Crawford-Crooks and their daughter Near Simone Arielle Crooks born on November 2, 2009.
