Jamie Allen joins the NCCU volleyball program as an assistant coach in the fall of 2022.
Allen is making the transition from student-athlete to collegiate coach after graduating from Southern Connecticut State University in May of 2022.
The defensive specialist played in 30 matches for the Owls over the last three years with the 2020 season being cancelled due the coronavirus pandemic. In 25 matches as a senior, Allen ranked third on the team with an average of 1.62 digs per set and fourth on the squad with 0.36 aces per set.
Allen graduated from SCSU with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. The Dean’s List student-athlete also earned Northeast 10 Conference Academic Honor Roll status in her time in New Haven, Connecticut.
Allen, who played 19 matches in her freshman season at Lock Haven University, is from Hartford, Michigan, and was an all-conference honoree in both volleyball and track at Bangor High School.
