Biography
As a Junior (2012-13)
Named First Team All-MEAC in his first season at NCCU, earned BoxtoRow All-American Honors, second team All-State by the NCCSIA (North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association), was named MEAC Player of the Week two times. Started all 31 games and was third in the MEAC in scoring (14.5 points per game), eighth in rebounding (6.9 boards per game), fifth in field goal percentage (55.3 percent), No. 15 in free-throw percentage (69.7 percent), No. 10 in offensive rebounds (2.4 per game), sixth in defensive rebounds (4.5 per game). Began his Eagle career with a 22 point, 8-for-16 effort against NCAA Final Four participant Wichita State, but his season-high of 24 points including a perfect 13-for-13 from the foul line came in a 66-62 win over arch-rival North Carolina A&T. Scored in double figures 27 times and 20 points or more on seven occasions. Averaged 22 points a game on NCCU’s Jan. 12-14 trip to Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman where he shot 21-of-29 (72.4 percent) from the field and the Eagles went 2-0. Scored 23 points on 11-of-14 shooting in a near-upset of Drake on Dec. 19. Finished with four double-doubles in his first season donning the maroon and gray. Recorded his first NCCU double-double on Nov. 15 after scoring 13 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in a victory over SWAC Champion Southern. Had 15 points 10 rebounds in a road victory over Utah Valley (Dec. 22), 12 points 11 rebounds vs. Virginia University of Lynchburg (Jan. 8, 2013), 13 points 11 rebounds at Delaware State (Feb. 2). Hit at least one three-pointer in 14 games, including two in a game on three occasions.
South Plains College (2010-2012)
Played with one of the top junior college programs in the nation as the Texans won the 2011-12 National Junior College Athletic Association National Championship going a perfect 36-0. South Plains College also won the WJCAC (Western Junior College Athletic Conference) title and a Region V championship en route to the perfect season. Kidd was second on the team averaging 11.9 points a game along with 6.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per contest. Shot an astounding 60 percent from the field and was a 74 percent free-throw shooter for the Texans. Scored a season-high 24 points against Trinity Valley Community College on Nov. 11 and against Odessa College on Feb. 13. Scored in double figures 25 times during his second season. In his freshman season he averaged a team-high 5.9 rebounds and dropped in 7.9 points per game. He registered three double-doubles and played 23 minutes per contest.
High School (Edmondson Westside H.S.)
Averaged 23 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists for Edmondson in his senior season, led the Red Storm to their first-ever Baltimore City Division I championship.

Stanton Justin Kidd was born on March 18, 1992 in Baltimore, Md. and is the son of Stanley and Glenda Kidd. His major at NCCU is Sports Management.
