As a Freshman (2012-13)
Played in three games averaging 1.0 minute per outing. Recorded his first career block at NCCU on Nov. 27 against Utah Valley, his first career basket and rebound on Feb. 4 at Maryland Eastern Shore, and his first career assists on Feb. 18 at South Carolina State. Had a season-high two rebounds vs. Maryland Eastern Shore on Feb. 4.

High School (Middle Creek H.S.)
A dual-sport athlete at Middle Creek H.S., King ran for 173 yards and two touchdowns on the gridiron for the Mustangs in his senior season, and contributed 5.8 points a game and a team-high 4.8 rebounds per contest to earn second team All-Conference honors.

Rashawn King is the son of Valentino King and Michelle Merritt and was born on Nov. 1, 1992 in Raleigh, N.C. He has a brother (Valentino, Jr.) and sister Tyesha. King is majoring in business at NCCU.
