As a Redshirt Junior (2020-21)
Appeared in nine games with eight starts, and averaged 24.8 minutes per game.  Scored 6.2 points per game, and shot 42.2 percent from the floor.  Also knocked down 42.1 percent of shots from the arc (8-for-19) and was 10-for-14 from the free throw line.  Pulled down 4.4 boards per outing.  Got off to a hot start to the season by scoring a career-high 13 points at North Carolina (Dec. 12), and followed that with his first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds along with four assists against South Carolina State (Feb. 1).

As a Redshirt Sophomore (2019-20)
Missed time due to injury, but appeared in 22 games with 15 starts, and averaged 18.3 minutes per game.  Averaged 4.6 points per game, shot 46.4 percent from the floor, and knocked down 11 three-pointers.  Reached a season-high 10 points twice against Norfolk State on Feb. 3, and North Carolina A&T on March 5.  Snagged a season-high eight rebounds on the road at Coppin State along with nine points on Feb. 8.

Prior to NCCU:
East Carolina (2017-19): Played in 26 games over two seasons, limited due to injury.  Played 22 games in his freshman year with one start in the 2017-18 season.  Scored a career-high 10 points against Delaware State as a sophomore, shooting 4-for-6 from the floor with two three-pointers, two rebounds, and two steals.

High School (Oscar Smith H.S.): Averaged 4.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game as a senior to help his squad win the Monitor-Merrimack regular-season and tournament title with a 23-3 record in 2017.  Named McAlester News-Capital boys all-area second-team in 2016.

Personal:  Born September 8, 1999 in Regensberg, Germany.  Parents are Roderick and Monika Whatley.  Majoring in business administration with a concentration in marketing at NCCU.
