Biography

As a Junior (2012-13)
Played in 30 games off the bench and was a vital contributor averaging 12.5 minutes per game while dropping in 3.5 points per contest as well. Scored in double figures on two occasions, and averaged 1.8 assists while committing an average of 1.1 per affair (53 assists/32 turnovers). Scored at least two points in 21 games including a season-high of 14 points against Johnson and Wales (Nov. 12). Collected a season-high eight steals in that victory as well. Recorded at least one steal in 14 games including two or more five times. Was an excellent free-throw shooter going 44-for-54 from the foul line (81.5 percent). Had 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists in a blowout victory over Howard (Jan. 21, 2013). Ended the season on a five-game scoring streak, where he averaged 4.8 points per game that included seven points on four-of-six shooting from the foul line on March 13 vs. NC A&T. Was perfect from the foul line in ten games with a 7-for-7 effort on Nov. 12 against Johnson and Wales on his resume.

Monroe College (NY): (2010-2012)
Was the starting point guard for the Monroe Mustangs who finished the season 33-4 that included at 19-1 mark at home. Led the team with 218 assists giving him an average of 6.05 helpers per ballgame. In 36 games he started 35 contests, committed only 88 turnovers (2.4 per game). Went 32-for-93 from the perimeter (34.4 percent) and was a 73.7 percent shooter from the foul line. Led the team in steals with 86 (2.38 per game). Also averaged 11.7 points per game which was second on the squad. Led Monroe to back-to-back District Championships, and consecutive trips to the National Junior College Championships in Hutchinson, Kan. where the Mustangs finished third and fifth respectively. Monroe was also ranked No. 1 in the nation for the first time in school history while he manned the point. Earned first and second team all-region honors in both seasons. In his freshman season he was seventh in the nation with 7.51 assists per game.

High School (Wings Academy H.S.):
Voted as high school senior class president and the captain of his Wings Academy high school team, a Bronx powerhouse. He was an All-City player, ranked in the city’s top 50 players. He averaged 13.0 points per game, four assists per game, and two steals a game in high school.

Drimir Ferguson is the son of Kangela Harris and Dion Ferguson. He has two sisters and two brothers. He was born on March 18, 1991 in the Bronx, New York. He is Majoring in Sports Management at NCCU.
