One of the top players during head coach LeVelle Moton’s tenure returned in the fall of 2013 to become a Special Assistant with the program.  During his two year career at NCCU, Wilkerson that spanned 57 games, he scored in double figures 52 times, but it was his unreal 41-point effort on January 24, 2011 on the road against North Carolina A&T where he shined the brightest. Became the 33rd member of the 1,000-point club at NCCU.  Named the NCAA Division I Independent Newcomer of the Year in the 2009-10 season.  Earned NCAA Division I Independent Player of the Year in his final campaign as an Eagle where he averaged 19.0 points a game that included 21.0 points against MEAC competition.  He is sixth all-time at NCCU in scoring average at 17.6 points a game, and 29th in all-time scoring with 1,023 career points.
 
Wilkerson graduated in May of 2011 with a degree in Sociology.  Â
