North Carolina Central University Athletics

2020: Made nine appearances, and earned one win.  Pitched 15.2 innings, and tied for sixth in the MEAC with a team third-most 24 strikeouts.  Worked a season-high 4.0 innings against High Point on Feb. 18 with a season-high seven strikeouts.  Recorded six strikeouts in 2.0 innings of work against Niagara on Feb. 22.  Made five appearances without allowing an earned run, and four without allowing a hit.

Prior to NCCU:
Los Medanos College: Made 44 appearances over two seasons with five starts.  Won eight games with 11 saves and a 2.55 ERA.  Pitched a total of 116.2 innings with 133 strikeouts.  Nailed down a league-leading eight saves in his sophomore year with 82 strikeouts and was named First Team All-Conference.  Finished second in the league in strikeouts that season, and led in strikeouts-per-nine innings with an 11.18 rate.  Also had the second-most wins in the league with six and the third-lowest ERA at 2.73.

High School (Clayton Valley H.S.): Was a dual-sport athlete in high school, playing both baseball and water polo.  Was a four-time all-conference, and was named Diablo Valley Athletic League water polo MVP as a senior in 2015.  Named second team all-conference in baseball as well in 2015.

Personal: Born February 2, 1998 in Walnut Creek, California.  Parents are Phil and Deborah Meylan.  Enjoys swimming and being outside.  His goal is to get drafted into Major League Baseball.  Majoring in mass communications with a concentration in broadcast media at NCCU.
