North Carolina Central University Athletics

2014:  Played in six games, starting in four mostly at designated hitter.  Finished the season 3-for-13 with two RBI and three walks.  Went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI, along with his only stolen base of the year in the 17-15 win over Virginia State on April 2.  Went 1-for-1 in a pinch hitting role at Duke on April 8.

2013:  Had his season cut short due to a shoulder injury playing in eight games, while starting in seven.  Finished the year 3-for-18 (.167) at-the-plate with a triple, eight runs scored, and two RBI.  His lone double of the year came in game one against NC A&T where he finished 1-for-4 with a run scored, and an RBI in the 8-3 loss.  Earned seven walks in his final three games played including four in a win over Coppin State.  On March 16 against Savannah State, went 1-for-3 with three runs scored, an RBI, and two walks.

2012: Named to the 2012 MEAC All-Tournament team, finishing his rookie season at NCCU batting .233 with 20 hits in 86 at-bats. Amassed three doubles and 12 RBI. In MEAC play, batted .267 (12-for-45) with seven runs scored and 10 RBI, striking out just six times. His best three-game stretch came from April 28-May 5 where he went 6-for-14 (.428) with a double, four runs scored, and two RBI. In the sweep-clinching victory over Florida A&M, went 2-for-4 with a walk, a run scored, and a RBI. Went 2-for-3 with a double, three runs scored, and a RBI against Virginia State on April 4. Earned his first career hit at NCCU on Feb. 26 against NJIT where he also recorded his first career RBI. Had six multi-hit games including a career-high 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored on April 29 against Savannah State. Was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two walks in the first-ever win over Campbell on May 10. On April 1 and 4 went a combined 4-for-7 at-the-plate with a double, four runs scored, and two RBI.

High School (Islip H.S.): Was two-time county champions and state finalists. Was All- League Baseball and Basketball.

Personal: Born October 15, 1993 in Stony Brook, N.Y. Son of Cleadous Murphy and Deborah Duprey-Murphy. Has two sisters, Alexis and Alyssa. He is a History major at NCCU.
