High School (AC Reynolds H.S.): Made 10 starts and earned five wins in his junior season in 2019, and kept a 1.88 ERA.  Pitched 41 innings that season and struck out 59 batters.

Personal: Born in Asheville, North Carolina.  Parents are Dennis and Diana Kanupp.  Enjoys baseball and four-wheeling, and has a cow that barks.  Majoring in criminal justice at NCCU.
