North Carolina Central University Athletics

Prior to NCCU:

Methodist University (2017-20): Started all 141 games he appeared in, and batted .342 with 178 hits in four seasons.  Collected 28 doubles, 15 triples and three home runs to drive in 90 RBI, and swiped 60 bases.  Slugged .470 with a .481 on-base percentage.  Had his best season as a sophomore when he cataloged a .360 batting average with 58 hits, and tallied 30 RBI in 2018.  Walked 40 times for a .498 on-base percentage that year, along with a .460 slugging percentage.  Three-time USA South All-Conference selection, and was a First Team pick in 2018.  Named to Methodist’s all-decade baseball team for 2010-20.  Earned all-academic honors all four years.

Graduated with a degree in chemistry, with a minor in business administration.

High School (Purnell Swett): Was a two-sport athlete in baseball and basketball.  Earned All-Conference honors twice in baseball, and once in basketball.  Was the captain of both his basketball and baseball teams as a senior, and was named team MVP along with Athlete of the Year during that year.

Personal: Born in Pembroke, North Carolina.  Parents are Spencer and Melanie Carter.  Undecided on his major at NCCU.
