North Carolina Central University Athletics

2020: Appeared in all 17 games, and started 16.  Led the team at the plate with 24 hits and 24 RBI with six doubles and four home runs.  Batted .393 with a .689 slugging percentage, and walked 11 times for a .500 on-base percentage.  Ranked eighth in NCAA Division I and topped the MEAC in RBI.  Finished second in the MEAC in batting average, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage.  Led the league in runs scored with 15, and tied for the lead in hits.  Tied for second in the conference in doubles, and led in home runs, total bases with 42, and tied for the lead in stolen bases with six.  Stole six bases in seven attempts.  Held an impressive 13-game hitting streak from Feb. 15 to March 6.  Had eight multi-hit games including a streak of five consecutive multi-hit outings from Feb. 26 to March 1.  Had eight multi-RBI games, and generated four RBI on a pair of doubles against Saint Joseph’s on March 1.

Prior to NCCU:
Central Alabama Community College: Played 92 games over two years and generated 86 hits and 25 RBI with a .302 batting average, .401 slugging percentage and .402 on-base percentage.  Knocked 17 doubles, one triple and three home runs, and touched home 51 times with 25 stolen bases.  Played 54 games as a freshman with 47 hits and 16 RBI, and slugged eight doubles, one triple and two home runs for a .368 slugging percentage.

High School (Moses Brown School): Named First Team All-State by the Providence Journal, and was named All-State by USA TODAY twice.

Personal: Born March 15, 1999 in Providence, Rhode Island.  Parents are Luis DeLeon and Crystal Hall.  Enjoys watching TV, and his favorite dish is baked macaroni and cheese.  Majoring in sports medicine with a concentration in kinesiology at NCCU.
