North Carolina Central University Athletics

Prior to NCCU:

Surry Community College (2019-20), Lenoir-Rhyne (2018-19): Pitched three games with one start at Surry Community College before the pandemic ended the season in 2020.  Carried 7.1 innings and struck out 11 batters.  Fanned five in consecutive appearances against Roone State Community College and Frederick Community College.

Made 11 appearances with four starts in his freshman season at Lenoir-Rhyne, and pitched 25 innings.  Earned one win and tossed 32 strikeouts.  Pitched a season high four innings with five strikeouts to help his squad to a win against Benedict, and collected a season-high six punchouts in three innings of work at Belmont Abbey.

High School (East Surry H.S.): Was a three-time all-conference selection.  Posted a 0.73 ERA in his senior year in 2018, and a 1.21 career ERA, which are both top-five in school history.  Named Northwest Conference Player of the Year and N.C. Baseball Coaches Association 1A Player of the Year that year.  Batted .408 in his senior year and drove in 35 RBI, the second-most in school history in a single season.  Tied for fourth in career doubles with 22, and tied for eighth in career RBI with 64.

Personal: Born in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina.  Parents are Mike and Karla Kiser.  Enjoys playing guitar, watching movies, hanging with family and friends, and going to church.  Majoring in behavioral and social sciences at NCCU.
