2009: An early season injury that held him out for 7 games allowed him action in 29 games and 22 starts on the year mostly at shortstop. Finished 6th on the team with a .253 batting average, amassing 10 RBIs which was good enough tied for fifth. Also tied for third with 7 stolen bases in 9 attempts. Ended up with a .329 ob-base percentage. Started the season off red-hot going 2-for-3 at the plate scoring 3 runs and 1 stolen base at Savannah State in the HBCU Classic (Feb. 20). Began the season batting .800 with 4 runs and 2 RBI. His first RBI of the season in a pinch-hitting role on March 7 in the Eagles home opener against Savannah State. April 3 at Florida A&M went 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored. In the final series of the season against UMES (May 8-9) went 7-for-10 with a double at the dish along with 4 RBIs vaulting his average up 70 points to its final resting place at .253. 2008: One of four Eagles to hit a home run last season, only one to hit a grand slam. March 18 against Virginia State, went 2-for-4 with a grand slam, and 5 RBIs in one of the Eagles six wins. Best day at the plate came on March 11 against Coppin State, went 4-for-7, scoring 3 runs, as batting average reached its peak at .286. Started season with hits in 6 of his first 9 ball games. Had a season-long, three-game hitting streak from April 19- 23. Ended the season eighth best on the team with a .297 on-base percentage. Only Eagle to record a triple last season. Third on team with 11 walks. Stole 4 bases on 5 attempts. 2007: Voted as the 2007 CIAA Rookie of the Year. Member of the CIAA All-Rookie Team. Two-time selection as the CIAA Baseball Player of the Week. Topped the Eagles in runs batted in (38), slugging percentage (.576) and assists (79). Ranked second on the squad in batting average (.352), home runs (5) and total bases (72). Hit 44-for-125 with 37 runs scored, 5 doubles, 17 stolen bases and a fielding percentage of .921 at shortstop. Hit .444 with runners in scoring position (24-for-54).
