North Carolina Central University Athletics

2020: Made nine appearances with five starts.  Picked up four hits with a double and a triple, and drove in one run.  Had his best game of the season when he went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple against Saint Joseph’s on Feb. 29.

2019: Appeared in 22 games with 17 starts.  Had seven hits and two doubles for three RBI and touched home seven times.  Walked seven times.  Made 35 putouts with two assists from the outfield.

2018:  Made 42 appearances and 37 starts as an outfielder.  Collected 21 hits with 14 RBI, and touched home 25 times.  Knocked three doubles and a home run.  Was second on the team and fourth in the MEAC with 31 walks and had a .380 on base percentage.  Also went 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts.  Had one of his best games of the year when he went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, an RBI, and two runs scored at North Carolina A&T (March 10).

2017:  Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American.  Third Team All-MEAC.  Appeared in 45 games with 41 starts.  Batted .295 with a .418 slugging percentage and .367 on base percentage with 19 walks.  Finished third on the team and top-10 in the MEAC with 31 RBI, and was fifth in the league with 12 doubles.  Named MEAC Rookie of the Week twice (March 27 and May 1).  Had 10 multi-hit games including a season-high 4-for-4 game with two doubles against North Carolina A&T (April 15).  Also had a team second-most eight multi-RBI games, highlighted by driving in five in a single inning against Savannah State (March 25) on a three-run homer and a two-run double.  Made two appearances from the bullpen in relief, and picked up his first career strikeout against Campbell (May 10).

High School (South Caldwell H.S.):  Won Northwestern 3A-4A Conference Championship and advanced to fourth round of the NCHSAA 4A State Championship in 2016.  Named All-NWC and Conference Player of the Year in 2016. 

Personal: Born Dec. 9, 1997 in Granite Falls, N.C.  Parents are Doug and Angela Raby.  Enjoys fishing, hiking, hanging out with friends and country music.  Majoring in sports and exercise science at NCCU.
