North Carolina Central University Athletics

2011:  Moved to second base in his junior season at NCCU where he started 16 of his 28 games and finished the season seventh on the team with a .282 batting average and had another late season flurry to raise his average over the final five games, where he went 8-for-17 (.471) with 2 doubles, a triple and 4 RBIs with a slugging percentage of .706.  Went 3-for-3 with a double, 2 RBIs, and a run scored on April 8 against Virginia State.  Ended the season with 29 hits, 12 runs scored, 11 RBIs (one of eight players to record double figure RBIs), and an on-base percentage of .351 and his slugging percentage was .350.  With his exceptional performance in the classroom was nominated as a CoSida Academic All-American.

2010: Played in 34 games while starting in 20 contests at catcher finishing the season second on the roster with a .308 batting average. Final weekend of the season, put up jaw-dropping numbers against Maryland Eastern Shore (May 8 and 9) as he went 10-for-14 (.714) with seven runs scored, two doubles, and four RBIs. Named The Banks Law Firm NCCU Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of May because of his performance against UMES. Prior to that weekend was batting just .219. Finished the year 8-for-20 (.400) against left handed pitchers, batted .333 (15-for-45) with runners on base, was a surprising 10-for-30 (.333) with runners in scoring position, and went 9-for-27 (.333) with two outs. His 12 RBIs put him at sixth on the roster.

Pensacola Junior College: Was a member of the Panhandle Conference Championship team that was ranked as high as No. 1 in the nation. Also named Academic All-American.

Personal: Born on March 12, 1990 and is the son of Etienne and Debbie Farquharson. Majoring in Business at NCCU. Excels in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA in both the fall and spring semesters in 2009-2010.
