North Carolina Central University Athletics

2014:  Made 14 appearances in his rookie season at NCCU, starting seven games.  Threw 31.2 innings and recorded 15 strikeouts. Went a season best 6.0 innings on March 11 against Coppin State.  In NCCU’s miraculous comeback 3-2 win against Furman, went 5.2 innings and surrendered two earned runs with three strikeouts in the game.  Struck out at least one batter in nine of the 14 appearances.

High School (St. Stephens H.S.): 2012 Perfect Game Underclass Honorable Mention.  Named a Rawlings 2013 Atlantic Region honorable mention.  North Carolina State Games Region 7 participant. Northwestern 3A-4A all-conference. Member of schools Beta Club. Received academic excellence award (2009, 2010).

Personal:  Born June 22, 1994 in Hickory, North Carolina.  Parents are Margaret and Gary Beiland. He has three siblings: Olive, Peyton, and Parker.  Major at NCCU is Business.
