Mike Abrunzo joins the Eagles as a volunteer assistant after starting his coaching career this summer with the Keene Swamp Bats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League as an assistant coach. A native of Horseheads, New York, Abrunzo attended Lackawanna College where he played for two seasons, including a trip to the Division II JUCO World Series in his first campaign. He batted .350 over two years there, and then played two seasons at the University of Buffalo where he started 94 games and finished second all-time in walks in a single season with 44 in his senior year. The Swamp Bats qualified for the playoffs after finishing third in the Northern Division.
