K.J. McAllister

K.J. McAllister joined the North Carolina Central University baseball program in 2020 after serving as head coach at Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, North Carolina.  McAllister led the Cardinals to a 37-14 record in his two seasons as head coach, and made two NCHSAA 3A state playoff appearances.  Prior to acting as head coach at Jacksonville H.S., he helped the squad to an 11-9 record as an assistant.

Before coaching at Jacksonville H.S., McAllister was an assistant at Topsail High School in Hampstead, North Carolina, and he helped the Pirates to a 22-12 record on the way to a state championship appearance.

McAllister graduated from Limestone University in 2014, and while there became just the eighth Saint to bat over .400 in a single season.  He went on to play professionally with the San Angelo Colts in the United League in 2014, where he picked up 56 hits along with 20 RBI, and swiped 10 bases.
