Corey Gross joined the staff prior to the 2013 season and is in charge of the outfielders and assisting with hitting. Before the 2013 campaign, Gross was the recruiting coordinator and hitting coach for the Grand Rapid Community College Raiders. After three years with the Raiders, the team made their first trip to Nationals in 5 years. He was an All-Conference catcher and outfielder for Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI.
After high school, Gross continued his baseball career at Saginaw Valley State University for one year, and then transferred to Aquinas College where he graduated with a Bachelor's in Business Administration/Sports Management and a minor in Sports Exercise. He recently graduated with his Masters degree in Coaching Education from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
Personal: Corey Alexander Gross was born on March 6, 1987 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. He is the son of Tim and Emily Gross and has two brothers, Tyler and Cole.
