Andrew Cook joined the North Carolina Central University coaching staff as the Director of Baseball Operations prior to the 2021 season. Prior to NCCU, Cook coached high school baseball at West Carteret High School and West Brunswick High School. He is heavily involved in the showcase baseball scene, having spent the previous 4 seasons serving as the recruiting coordinator for Team Elite, one of the top showcase organizations in the country. Cook pitched at North Carolina A&T from 2011 to 2012, and was a two-time Academic All-American. He started his collegiate career at Lenoir Community College where he led the Lancers in ERA, and helped the squad to an NJCAA Region 10 championship on the way to a NJCAA World Series appearance in 2010. The Lancers finished ranked fourth in the nation that season as well. Cook pitched at Winters Mill High School in Westminster, Maryland, and was ranked as one of the top pitchers in the state.
Cook graduated from NCAT in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, and later received his master’s degree in health and physical education.
