Biography

2018:  Made six appearances with one start, and pitched 5.1 innings.  Recorded six strikeouts.  Had his first career start and longest appearance of his career against Florida A&M (May 6) when he tossed two full frames with just two hits.  Made two appearances without allowing a hit or earned run.  Tallied a pair of strikeouts in an inning of relief against Maryland Eastern Shore (March 20) as well.

2017:  Made three appearances and threw 2.2 innings with five strikeouts.  Struck out the side in his third appearance of the year against Campbell (May 10) with his brother Conrad Kovalcik behind the plate.  MEAC All-Academic Team selection.

2016:  Made five appearances from the bullpen with a strikeout and four walks allowed.  Made two appearances without allowing an earned run.

2015:  Redshirted.
