Biography

2014:  Logged 47.2 innings in his rookie season in 14 appearances and made eight starts.  Finished with an 8.12 ERA.  Earned his first collegiate victory on March 9 in the 7-4 series-clinching win over Bethune-Cookman on March 9 as he went 7.2 innings and surrendered only four runs on six hits with two strikeouts.  Struck out at least one batter in 12 of his 14 outings, recording a season-high five K’s twice (March 16 vs. Savannah State and April 12 vs. Bethune-Cookman).  Struck out 29 batters along with just 27 walks in his rookie season.

High School (East Surry H.S.): Graduated top 20 in his class.  Earned all-conference honors as a junior and senior.  Was named to the all-state team as a senior.   Voted team’s player of the year as a senior. Made the all-tournament team and was named tournament MVP as a senior.  Helped Cardinals become regular season and tournament champions.  Had 41 hits in 81 at-bats, earning a batting average of .506. Recorded an ERA of just above one run per nine innings.  Averaged one of the highest strikeout rates in the Northwest Conference.

Personal:  Born March 2, 1995 in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina. Parents are Ann and Rick Wilson. He has two brothers named Alec and AJ. Major at NCCU is Mathematics
