North Carolina Central University Athletics

2020: Made five appearances with two starts.  Pitched 18.1 innings with 20 strikeouts, and kept a 2.45 ERA, the fifth-best in the MEAC.  Finished fourth in the MEAC with a .203 opposing batting average, third in hits allowed with 14, and tied for third with five earned runs allowed.  Tossed a career-high six strikeouts in 4.2 innings of relief against Niagara on Feb. 23.  Pitched a career-high 5.1 innings against Youngstown State on March 7 with four strikeouts.  Picked up an RBI against Youngstown State on March 8 in his first start at first base.

High School (New Hanover H.S.): Won back-to-back 3A state championships in 2018 and 2019, and was named championship series MVP as a senior in 2019.  Threw a complete game shutout to clinch the title with nine strikeouts, and went 3-for-7 with a home run and three RBI at the plate during the series.  Named first team all-conference and first team all-area twice.

Personal: Born December 12, 2000 in Matthews, North Carolina.  Parents are Richie and Stephanie Sniffen.  Enjoys fishing, hunting, and golf.  Majoring in nursing at NCCU.
