North Carolina Central University Athletics

2014:  Played in eight games, starting in four.  Recorded one hit with one RBI and a run scored.  Lone hit came against UNC Asheville on March 4.

2013:  Played in nine games, went 0-for-12 with an RBI and two walks with one stolen base.  April 1 at UNCG went 0-for-2 with two walks and two strikeouts in NCCU’s 17-8 loss to the Spartans. 

2012:  Played in 31 games in his second season getting the nod in 17 finishing the year with a .135 batting average that included two doubles and four RBI.  Came in mostly as a defensive replacement.  Scored runs in his last two appearances of the year.  On May 6 against Florida A&M reached base on a walk and moved around on a stolen base, and on May 10 against Campbell was hit-by-a-pitch later scoring in NCCU’s first-ever win over the Camels.  Had a four-game hitting streak from March 31 till April 11.
 
2011:  Saw action in 29 games while starting 9 contests in his first season at NCCU.  Batted .188 with 9 hits in 48 at-bats with 10 runs scored, three doubles, and 5 RBIs.  Recorded his first career hit against Temple on Feb. 19 where he scored twice.  Recorded his first career double at the Division I level on March 13 against Presbyterian College.  His first RBI as an Eagle came on March 27 on the road at Delaware State where he went 1-for-4.  His best performance came in game two of doubleheader action against Savannah State on April 2 going 2-for-3 with two doubles, a run, and an RBI.  Finished his rookie season with 2 stolen bases. 
 
High School (Dudley H.S.):  Dynamic two-sport athlete at Dudley High School.  Was named to the All-Conference team in both football and baseball.  Racked up over 1,500 yards rushing and passing during his high school career.  Was a member of two State Championship teams in 2008 and 2009.
 
Personal: Born Nov. 14, 1991 in Greensboro, N.C.  Alexander Phillip Moore, III is the son of Alexander Jr. and Sherri Moore.  He has two sisters, Alexis and Aarion.  Majoring in Sports Managment at NCCU.
