North Carolina Central University Athletics

Career: Finished in the top-10 of career ERA in the modern era at 4.88 and ended his career tied for the second-most wins with 10.  Made 42 career appearances with 36 starts, and threw the second-most career innings in the modern era with 199 and one-third.  Ended third on the modern era strikeout list with 138.

2016: Third Team All-MEAC selection.  Made 14 appearances and tied for the team lead in starts with 13, and finished with a 4-3 record.  With 13 starts he finished tied for second in the modern era in a single season at NCCU.  Finished second on the team in strikeouts with 58 which is sixth in a single season in the modern era.  Finished in the top-10 of the MEAC in opposing batting average with a rate of .260.  Had one of his strongest outings against NJIT (March 6) when he pitched six complete innings allowing just two hits without an earned run.  Preseason Second Team All-MEAC.

2015:  Made 14 appearances and 12 starts and finished tied for the team lead in wins with a record of 4-2, doubling wins from last season.  Pitched two complete games to lead the team, and was second with 63.2 innings pitched.  Was unbeaten over first nine starts going 4-0 from Feb. 14-April 11.  Was named MEAC pitcher of the week for the week ending Feb. 15 after winning first start of the year against Norfolk State (Feb. 14) by throwing eight complete innings without an earned run, allowing one hit and two walks with eight strikeouts.  

2014:  Made 14 appearances in his first season, 11 as a starter on-the-hill.  Finished his sophomore season with 47 strikeouts and 25 walks.  Went 2-4 with a 6.13 ERA in 49.2 innings pitched, but had a 4.89 ERA in MEAC play.  Earned his first collegiate victory in the series-sweeping victory over arch-rival NC A&T by going 7.0 innings and recording seven strikeouts, while allowing no earned runs on four hits in the win.  Pitched 6.2 innings allowing only two earned runs with four K’s in the 5-3 win over league champion Bethune-Cookman.  Recorded a season-high eight strikeouts in-relief against Savannah State on April 18 where he threw 7.0 innings and scattered four hits.  Struck out at least one batter in all 14 appearances.  Picked up his second win of the year in NCCU’s 10-5 MEAC Tournament victory over Maryland Eastern Shore 4.2 innings against the Hawks surrendering one earned run on five hits with four strikeouts.

Clarendon Community College:  Made 13 appearances, 12 starts in the 2013 season, finishing 4-2 with 42.1 innings pitched.  Racked up 29 strikeouts on the year.  Recorded 5 K’s in a tough loss to El Paso Community College in six innings pitched.
