North Carolina Central University Athletics

2020: Started all 14 games he appeared in, missing just three games.  Collected 12 hits with one double and a home run.  Batted .240 with a .320 slugging percentage, and tied for fourth in the MEAC with 11 walks for a .377 on-base percentage.  Tied for fifth in the league with 12 runs scored.  Started the season with a five-game hitting streak, and hit .353 over the stretch with six hits.

Prior to NCCU:
Miami Dade College:  Played 94 games and batted .304 with 97 hits, and walked 47 times for a .400 on-base percentage over two years.  Hit 20 doubles, one triple, and six home runs for 64 RBI and a .429 slugging percentage.  Hit .369 with 55 hits as a freshman, and drove in 33 RBI on four doubles and four home runs for a .477 slugging percentage.  Played multiple positions and was named Second Team All-Conference as a freshman in the outfield, and Second Team All-Conference and First Team All-Tournament at catcher as a sophomore.  Won Southern Conference championship in 2019 as a sophomore.

Personal: Born July 21, 1998 in Toa-Alta, Puerto Rico.  Parents are Edwin Alicea and Damaris Vazquez.  Enjoys boating and mechanical work, and his goal is to become a professional baseball player.  Majoring in behavioral science at NCCU.
