North Carolina Central University Athletics

2016:  Made 25 appearances as a reliever.  Pitched 32 and two-thirds of an inning with 28 strikeouts and a 2-2 record.  Notched a pair of saves, including an effort where he pitched three and one-third of an inning without allowing an earned run with two strikeouts against Niagara (Feb. 26).  Made 15 appearances without allowing an earned run, including a six-game streak lasting April 6-19.

2015:  Made 10 appearances from the bullpen pitching 20.1 innings.  Notched first career strikeout in first appearance at Duke (Feb. 25).  Pitched two complete innings against Maryland Eastern Shore (March 18) without allowing a hit or earned run, walking one batter and struck out three.  Made longest appearance of the year against Bethune-Cookman (April 11) pitching four complete innings without an earned run, allowing two hits and two walks with one strikeout.

2014:  Redshirted.

High School (Dinwiddie H.S.): Named 2012 all District third baseman.   Earned 2013 All-District and All-Region shortstop.  Received academic achievement award for outstanding performance in the classroom (2009-13). Helped the Dinwiddie Generals become District Champions three years in a row (2011, 2012, 2013).

Personal: Born December 2, 1994 in Dinwiddie, Virginia. Parents are Carol and Tracy Hinton.  Has a brother (Javon) and a sister (Ciara).  Major at NCCU is accounting.
