North Carolina Central University Athletics

2015:  Played and started 46 games.  Batted .250 and hit seven home runs and slugged .427 with 27 RBI and 30 runs scored.  Stole 18 bases on 20 attempts, and finished career with highest stolen base percentage in the modern era at .917.  Finished tied for third all-time for most career home runs with eight.  Recorded a team-high six outfield assists.  Went on a nine-game hitting streak from April 11-24, starting with a two-home run performance against Bethune-Cookman (April 11) going 2-3 with five RBI and three runs scored with a grand slam and a home run on top of the warehouse in center field at the Durham Athletic Park.  Hit a walk off homer against Savannah State (April 18) in the 10th inning that propelled NCCU into first place of the Southern Division.  

2014:  Named to All-MEAC Academic Team.  Redshirted.

2013:  Had season shortened by injury playing 35 games, while starting 33.  Recorded 30 hits in his first campaign, batted .256 on the year.  Was fourth on the roster in slugging percentage (.350), tied for second on the team in doubles (8), and tied for second in home runs (1).  Batted .276 in 15 MEAC games (16-for-58) with seven runs scored, five doubles, and five RBI.  Amassed at least one hit in 23 games.  Had a five-game hitting streak from April 16 to April 21 going 8-for-15 (.533) with two doubles, two runs scored, and two RBI.  On April 28 in the series finale against Florida A&M, went 2-for-6 with a double and two runs scored.  On March 26 in the 10-0 win over Longwood, went 1-for-4 with four RBI.    
 
Southeastern CC:  A vital member of the 2012 squad that won the NJCAA Region 10 Championship and made it to the NJCAA World Series in 2011.  Batted .315 with 53 hits, nine doubles, 10 triples, 45 RBI, and 49 runs scored.  Finished third on the team with five home runs in his final season.  Stole 14-of-15 bases in 2012.
 
High School (West Columbus H.S.):  Earned All-Conference honors in his senior season.
 
Personal: Born February 9, 1992, in Whiteville, NC.  Parents are Ronell and Priscilla Thompson.  Major at NCCU is Psychology.
