2014: Named to second team NCCSIA All-State University Baseball squad, second Team All-MEAC, and to the All-MEAC Academic Team in his final season. Nominated for ABCA All-Atlantic Region and NCCSIA All-State Team. Batted a career-best .344 (15th in the MEAC) and recorded 42 RBI. Finished in the MEAC’s Top 10 in hits (63), RBI (42-third), and doubles (12). Topped the team earning 29 walks. Recorded the fifth best batting average in the modern era, 10th best slugging percentage (.475), ninth best on-base percentage (.443), Tied for third-most games played and started (53), tied for the second-most hits (63), and recorded the second-most doubles (12) in the modern era. Finished third on the team with 17 multi-hit games (11-two hits, 5-three hits, 1-four hit) and topped the team with 11 multi-RBI games. Started the year 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and three RBI on Feb. 17 against Canisius. Went 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI in NCCU’s lone win at arch-rival NC A&T. In the 16-12 comeback win over Longwood went 2-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored, and four RBI. In the 15-15 come-from-behind victory against Virginia State went 4-for-6 with two runs scored and two RBI. Went 6-for-11 (.545) with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI in the series win over Florida A&M (April 26-27). Recorded at least one RBI in 25 games, and at least one hit in 39 games.
2013: Named to All-MEAC Academic team. Played in 49 games, starting in 41 in his third season at NCCU. Ended the season third on the team with 26 RBI and tied for second with eight doubles. Finished up the year on a six-game hitting streak, and recorded eight multi-hit games that included his lone three-hit effort as he went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI on March 22 against Florida A&M. Hit 5-for-17 (.294) with a double, a run scored, and an RBI in the MEAC Tournament. Went 3-for-6 with a with a double, a run scored, and three RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Longwood on March 26. Recorded at least one hit in 26 games.
2012: Nominated for All-MEAC, All-State (NCCSIA), and ABCA All-Atlantic Region honors. Set the modern day NCCU single-season record for RBI with 45, which was good enough for fifth-best in the MEAC. Finished the year sixth on the team batting .280, fifth on the team with 49 hits, tied for third in doubles (9), No. 1 on the team in walks (26), and tied for fourth in triples (1). Played in 50 games making 49 starts recording at least one hit in 36 games. Tied with Dylan Drayton and Tyson Simpson for third on the team with 14 multiple hit ballgames as he had 10 2-hit contests and four three-hit ballgames. Led the Eagles with 16 multiple RBI games with 16 (14-two RBI, 2-three RBI). From April 14-24 recorded his longest hit streak of the year (6 games) and recorded 10 RBI during that stretch. His 2-for-4 outing that included the game-winning double and lone RBI of the day led NCCU to the 4-3 upset-win over 2012 MEAC Tournament Champ Bethune-Cookman. Went 3-for-5 with a run scored, three RBI, and two doubles in the series finale victory over Savannah State on April 29. On March 31 was 3-for-5 at-the-dish with a double, two runs scored, and three RBI in the 18-3 win over Florida A&M. Hit his first career triple on March 24 against Savannah State, where he went 3-for-4 also with a double and two RBI in the game one win over SSU. In MEAC play, batted .353 going 30-for-85 with 11 runs scored, six doubles, a triple, and 28 RBI.
2011: Stormed out to a great start of his collegiate career batting over .400 for the first 11 games of his rookie season. Was the only Eagle on the team to record four hits in a game on the season with his 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs performance against Temple in his second collegiate contest. Played and started in 43 contests tying for second on the team. Finished his first season with the second-most hits with 45 and was fifth on the squad batting .298. Second on the squad with 22 RBIs. Was also second on the team with 12 multi-hit games that included 8 two-hit games, and 3 three-hit games. Third on the team with seven doubles and plate appearances with 175. A solid catcher behind the plate threw out 19 runners in his first season. Went 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs against Coppin State on April 16, 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, and an RBI against Virginia State on April 8.
High School (Salem H.S.): Named to the All-District and All-Region teams his junior and senior year as an excellent backstop. Also was Team MVP his senior season. Batted over .400 during his high school career that included a District championship and regional playoff bid his senior year. Off the field was a National Honor Society member and was a part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Personal: Born on March 22, 1992 in Roanoke, Va. Carter Paul Williamson is the son of Douglas and Kelley Williamson. Majoring at NCCU in Business management with a concentration in marketing.
