DURHAM, N.C. - The North Carolina Central women's golf team will compete in its final regular-season tournament at the North Carolina Challenge Cup in Chapel Hill, N.C., on Saturday, April 4. Tee time is at 8:45 a.m.
The Eagles will play two rounds on the par 70, 6,130-yard Finley Golf Club course layout in the one-day tournament. The 13-team field includes Michigan State, Queens (N.C.), UNC Greensboro, USC Upstate, UNC Wilmington, William & Mary, Gardner-Webb, Alabama-Birmingham, Elon, Wingate, Presbyterian and host North Carolina.
Over 70 golfers will play in the tournament including NCCU's
Cailynn Winford,
Mya Smith,
Sanaa Carter,
Sidney Renville and
Aubree Clements. Carter leads the Eagles with a 77.0 adjusted scoring average and Renville has a 78.8 average through seven tournaments in the 2025-26 season.
After the Challenge Cup, the Eagles will participate in the NEC Championship in Ellicott City, Md., on April 17-19.
