MORGANTON, N.C. – Sanaa Carter and
Cailynn Winford of North Carolina Central had solid performances at The Mimosa Invitational on the Mimosa Hills Golf Club course on Tuesday.
Carter tied for 28
th and Winford finished 31
st out of 68 golfers in the two day, 54-hole women's golf tournament. Carter led the Eagles with a three-round score of 236 and Winford fired a 238 score.
Sidney Renville was close behind with a 240 score to tie for 35th on the par 72, 6,274-yard layout. In the team standings, NCCU carded a score of 964 to place 10
th out of 12 squads.
NEXT UP
The Eagles will conclude the regular season on Saturday, April 4, at the North Carolina Challenge Cup in Chapel Hill, N.C., before preparing for the NEC Championship in mid-April.
