BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Cailynn Winford and
Mya Smith were both selected as NEC Women's Golf Prime Performers on Wednesday, March 25, after leading North Carolina Central to a fourth-place finish out of 15 teams at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate early this week.
Both players turned in standout performances at the tournament, finishing in the top 20 out of 92 golfers. Winford placed 16th to lead the Eagles with an average score of 77.6 while Smith was close behind, tied for 17th with a 78.0 average. They were two of four golfers named Prime Performers this week.
The Eagles are back on the golf course March 30-31 at The Mimosa Invitational in Morganton, N.C.
