NCCU Track & Field Announces 2026 Outdoor Competition Schedule

DURHAM, N.C. – With the conclusion of the indoor regular season, the North Carolina Central men's and women's track and field teams turn their focus to the outdoor campaign.

The Eagles open the season with a trip to the coast for the UNCW Invitational, hosted by UNC Wilmington, on March 6-7. NCCU closes out the month at the Raleigh Relays from March 26-28, as NC State hosts the meet at Paul Derr Track.

NC Central competes in four meets in April, three of which are in-state. The Eagles travel to the VertKlasse Meeting at High Point on April 2-3, remain in the Triangle for the Duke Invitational on April 9-11, and head to rival North Carolina A&T for the Aggie Invitational on April 17-18. The final stop in April is the prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia from April 23-25.

The Eagles return to Morris Williams Stadium on May 3 for the Duke Twilight before opening postseason competition at the MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Norfolk State University, on May 14-16.

Last season, both NC Central squads placed fourth at the MEAC Outdoor Championships, combining to bring home 10 medals to the Nest.
