Series History: NC Central won both meetings earlier this season at Coppin State and Morgan State. NCCU leads the series against Coppin State 20-7, winning the last eight out of 10 contests. The Bears' loss to NC Central was the last time MSU was defeated, as they are rolling on a six-game winning streak. The Eagles lead that series as well, 57-45.

Scouting Coppin State: Since the last contest between the two Eagle programs, Coppin State has won its second MEAC contest. Both of CSU's victories were over Delaware State. Coppin State scores by committee, as no Eagle averages double figures. DeMariontay Hall comes the closest at 9.4 points per game. The Eagles are currently ninth in the nation in bench points, averaging 34.96 points.

Scouting Morgan State: The Bears won their last contest against Maryland Eastern Shore 79-71. Close games have been a recurring theme for Morgan State, as all its conference victories have been by single digits, including three one-point triumphs. The MSU guards run the show with Alfred Worrell Jr., Elijah Davis and Rob Lawson combining for 43.9 points per game. The Bears are also tied for first in the conference in three-pointers made (6.3).

MEAC Standings Carousel: The Eagles (5-2) are no longer at the top of the pack after last weekend's loss at Norfolk State. Morgan State (6-2) moved into first place, fueled by its six-game winning streak. Howard has entered the top three after winning its last three MEAC games. The Bison's last conference loss was to Morgan State.

Senior Day: Nine seniors from the men's basketball team will be honored before warmups on Saturday. All have taken different paths to the Nest. Kyric Davis, Tekao Carpenter, Khouri Carvey, Jae Slack, Ramondo Battle II and Gbenga Olubi all started their careers at community colleges, while Justin Edwards spent time at two different NAIA schools. Kelechi Okworogwo and Dionte Johnson were both members of Maryland Eastern Shore before becoming Eagles.

MEAC Minute: NC Central still holds the conference's top spot in free throw percentage (.730), steals average (8.95) and turnover margin (+3.05). Gage Lattimore is tied for first in scoring at 17.3 points per game and solely leads the league in free throw percentage at .893. Khouri Carvey is still first in field goal percentage (.574) and Dionte Johnson has the same place in steals (2.5) and assists (5.9).
