Mosley Named Stats Perform HBCU National Player of the Week

DURHAM, N.C. – For the second straight week, a North Carolina Central University football player has been named Stats Perform HBCU National Player of the Week. Running back Chris Mosley took home the honor on Monday.

Mosley accounted for five touchdowns in the Eagles' 62-20 win over rival North Carolina A&T this past Saturday, tying a program record (Robert Clark vs. Fayetteville State, Sept. 27, 1986). He found the end zone three times on the ground, and twice more through the air, while racking up 258 yards from scrimmage.

He totaled 168 rushing yards on just 11 carries, averaging 15.3 yards a carry.

This is Mosley's second national honor of the season; he was also a BOXTOROW National Player of the Week after NCCU's season-opening win over Southern. Mosley also joins quarterback Walker Harris as Stats Perform HBCU weekly honorees.

The Eagles will be on the road again this Saturday, heading to Commerce, Texas, to take on East Texas A&M. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. ET, and the game will air live on ESPN+.
