ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Kamren Harper totaled 13 kills and
Manuela Cripa Nasser added 33 assists but North Carolina Central dropped a four-set volleyball match (21-25, 25-21, 18-25, 21-25) to UNC Asheville at the Justice Center on Tuesday.
Makenzi Searcy finished with eight kills and
Jenelle Mason chipped in six kills for the Eagles.
Loren Johnson and
Gabriela Felix-Baeza both tallied 12 digs and
Neira Joldic added 10 digs.
Allyson Rouse had five total blocks and Johnson and Nasser each contributed two service aces.
NOTES
- The Eagles played their fifth consecutive away match.
- After dropping the first set, the Eagles came back to take the second set. Leading 22-21, NCCU scored three straight points to tie the match at 1-1.
- NCCU opened a 4-0 lead in the third set but fell behind 15-11 and got no closer than two points the rest of the set.
- The Eagles trailed 21-15 in the fourth set but clawed back within two points twice at 22-20 and 23-21.
- NCCU is now 2-7 overall and UNC Asheville is 3-8.
