DURHAM, N.C. – The student-athletes of North Carolina Central University set a new record for cumulative grade point average (GPA) within the athletic department, earning a 3.30 GPA with the conclusion of the 2025 spring semester.

A total of 214 Eagles maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the spring semester, and 208 student-athletes achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, representing 75 percent of the student-athletes at NC Central.

An additional 13 student-athletes reached a 4.0 cumulative GPA, while 46 more recorded a 4.0 GPA for the spring term.

During the spring semester, men's tennis achieved the highest team GPA of 3.83, followed by women's tennis (3.70) and men's golf (3.68).

Men's tennis also took the top team honor with a cumulative GPA of 3.86. Women's golf (3.64) and volleyball (3.58) round out the top three in cumulative GPA.
