CARY, N.C. – North Carolina Central fell 2-0 and 15-2 to Morgan State in a MEAC softball doubleheader at Thomas Brooks Park on Saturday.

The first game was a pitching duel as neither team scored through four innings. A fifth-inning error by the Eagles allowed Morgan State to score the only two runs of the contest.
Jaden Davis was a gem on the mound for the Eagles despite the loss. She threw a two-hitter with eight strikeouts, one walk and zero earned runs in seven complete innings.
In the second game,
Tyler Suttles scored on
Makiya Graves' single for a 1-0 Eagles' lead in the first inning. Suttles reached base on a triple.
Suttles scored again in the fifth inning on Graves' second hit of the game and a Morgan State outfield error.
