This season the Eagles have done a good job passing the ball as the co-leaders in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in assists per game (15.97) tied with Howard. Parson leads the MEAC in assist average (4.3) followed by Johnson (3.9).

Nationally, NC Central is 18th in bench points per game (29.70), seventh in fastbreak points (16.13), 13th in offensive rebounds per game (13.77), 14th in three-point percentage defense (30.0) and seventh in turnovers forced per game (16.30).

In the first game between NCCU and SC State, the Eagles came out victorious 82-77 at home in late January. King led the way with 25 points shooting 11-of-13 from the free throw line.
