BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Jaden Davis smacked a solo home run for North Carolina Central in Tuesday's doubleheader losses to Gardner-Webb. The scores were 9-1 in the first game and 21-1 in the second game at Brinkley Softball Stadium.
The Eagles (1-15 overall) led in both games. The home run by Davis put the Eagles up 1-0 in the 2
nd inning of the first contest. In the second game,

Kendall Smith, who reached base on a double in the first inning.
NCCU combined for six hits in two games, including a double by
Samaria Jackson in the second game. Gardner Webb (12-9 overall) tallied 29 hits combined.
The Eagles will face both UNC Greensboro and Michigan twice in the UNCG Tournament this weekend. They take on Michigan at 11 a.m. and UNCG at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7.
On Saturday, March 8, the Eagles tangle with Michigan at 10 a.m. and UNCG at 3 p.m.
