NORFOLK, Va. – Jaden Davis of North Carolina Central was selected MEAC Softball Co-Pitcher of the Week on Monday after another superb outing on the mound.

The NCCU senior posted a 2-0 record with a 1.17 earned run average (ERA) against Coppin State on Saturday and Sunday. She gave up just two earned runs on seven hits while striking out 13 batters and walking five in 12 innings.

On Saturday, Davis fired a four-hitter in a 6-2 win. She allowed two runs with eight strikeouts and three walks in seven complete innings.

Davis fired a three-hit shutout, the fifth in her career, in a 10-0 win on Sunday. She struck out five and walked two in the five-inning victory.

The Knightdale, N.C., native sports a 2.01 ERA in six conference games, good for fifth-best in the MEAC. Overall, Davis has a 4.71 ERA with a league-high 75 strikeouts and seven wins.
