DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central brings a two-game win streak to Howard in its MEAC season-opening softball series in Washington, D.C. this weekend.
Both teams play a doubleheader at the National Youth Academy on Saturday, March 15. The first game starts at 1 p.m. and the second game begins at approximately 3 p.m.
The Eagles (3-20 overall) face the Bison (6-13 overall) in a single game Sunday, March 16, at 12 p.m. Click

The Eagles are coming off victories over Western Carolina (10-7) on the road and archrival North Carolina A&T (4-3) in their home opener this week. The A&T victory went nine innings.
Preseason All-MEAC pitcher
Jaden Davis was the winner in both games. She struck out a season-high 10 batters and smacked a clutch RBI triple against A&T.
Daiyah Bailey batted 5-for-5 with a double, three RBIs and one run scored in Game 2 versus Western Carolina.
Elana Krupey added a double and two RBIs in that game.
The Bison lost to George Mason 5-3 on the road Tuesday after returning from Hawaii last week. Howard posted a 2-4 record in the Outrigger Invitational in Manoa. Sidney Fletcher has nine RBIs this season including one against George Mason.
Julia Holt is Howard's top pitcher. She has a 4.86 earned run average.
