BUIES CREEK, N.C. – North Carolina Central dropped two games of a softball doubleheader to Campbell on Saturday to complete a three-game weekend series. The scores were 15-3 and 11-0 at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.
Tyler Suttles led the Eagles offensively in the twinbill. She was 3 of 5 combined with two RBIs.
Kia Borum was 3 of 4 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored and
Elana Krupey was 1 of 3 with a double and one run scored.
In the first game, Borum scored on Suttles' single in the third inning and Suttles' groundout in the fifth inning. Borum smacked a double in the fifth inning to score Krupey.
NCCU totaled nine hits and Campbell (12-7 overall) registered 23 hits combined in two games.
The Eagles (1-13) are back in action Tuesday, March 4, at Gardner-Webb for a doubleheader. Game times are 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
