Morgan Callahan of North Carolina Central grabbed her 600
th career rebound in an 88-52 MEAC women's basketball loss to Norfolk State at Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall on Monday.
Callahan, who entered the contest with 595 career rebounds, reached the milestone on a defensive rebound early in the third period. She finished with seven rebounds to go along with nine points.
Her career rebound total is now 602 with eight games left. She is 57 points away from 1,000 in her collegiate career.

Kyla Bryant scored 15 points and senior guard
Tierney Coleman added 12 points for the Eagles, who shot 30.2 percent and gave up 26 turnovers.
Sophomore guard-forward
Jada Tiggett totaled team highs of eight rebounds, six blocks and two steals in addition to five points for the Eagles. She won the last two MEAC Defensive Player of the Week awards.
The Eagles fell behind 26-9 after the first period and never regrouped as they dropped to 6-15 overall and 3-3 in the MEAC. The defeat snapped a four-game winning streak.
Norfolk State, led by 24 points, seven rebounds and five steals from Diamond Johnson, improved to 20-4 and a league-leading 7-0 conference mark. The Spartans scored 24 points off turnovers and 22 second chance points to offset 38.8 percent shooting.
