BUIES CREEK, N.C. – North Carolina Central stayed close until the latter innings in an 8-0 softball loss to Campbell at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium on Friday.
Both teams play again Saturday in a doubleheader at Campbell. The first game begins at noon and the second game starts at 3 p.m.
Tyler Suttles had two of the Eagles' five hits including a triple.
Makiya Graves,
Cameron Frye and
Sydney Jones each collected a hit.
The Eagles (1-11) trailed 2-0 until the fourth inning. The Camels (10-7) scored two runs each in the fourth, fifth and six innings for the final score.
Livie Davis had two RBIs and two runs scored for Campbell, who totaled nine hits and took advantage of three NCCU errors.
