NCCU BENCH

With only three regular season games remaining, the Eagles have a small amount of time left to move up in the conference standings. Currently, NC Central sits in sixth and will play the first and second team in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference standings in Norfolk State and Howard, respectively. NCCU has only dropped one MEAC game at home this season.

NC Central still has a strong defensive presence holding high positions in multiple categories. The Eagles have been first in the league for most of the year in three-point percentage defense, holding opponents to 30.0 percent beyond the arc. The Maroon & Gray also lead the MEAC in turnover margin (+3.68) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.23)

Nationally, NCCU is fourth in turnovers forced per game (16.68). The Eagles are also 14th in offensive rebounds per game (13.82), 16th in bench points per game (30.75) and sixth in fastbreak points (16.25).

OPPONENTS

Howard won the first meeting between the two programs on Feb. 8, 82-78. After Howard took a commanding lead, the Eagles stormed back to make the game interesting but ultimately were defeated.

Norfolk State's first game against NC Central went the opposite direction as the Eagles took a big advantage in the second half before the Spartans completed a comeback winning on a buzzer beater on Feb. 3.
